VoiceHost VoIP allows you to make telephone calls using a computer network, over a data network like the Internet. VoIP converts the voice signal from your telephone into a digital signal that travels over the internet then converts it back at the other end so you can speak to anyone with a regular phone number.
If you are on the phone and something crops up that you need to do straight away, such as answer the door, look something up or ask a colleague a question then the call hold feature is just what you need.
When a caller is on hold they will hear music until you are ready to pick up the call.
How do I use the feature?
To use the call hold feature all you need to do is press the 'Hold' button. Some devices may have an 'R' button that performs the same function.
If you have a multi-line device you can also press the illuminated line button to place the caller on hold. To return to the call all you need to do is press the same button and you will be reconnected.
