Snom 3XX Configuration
To configure your Snom device, you will need to access the phone via a web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox. To access your Snom, you will need to know your phone's IP address. To discover the current IP address of your device press the 'Help' key, you will be show the 'IP Adr'.
Now that you have the IP address, open Internet Explorer or Firefox and enter 'http://<your.ip.address.here>'. Make sure you enter the IP address in the form 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'. The most common form of IP address on a private network is '192.168.x.x' or '10.0.x.x'. Once you have entered the address, press 'Enter/Return' or select the 'Go' button.
If you have configured a password on your phone, you will be prompted to enter it. If you have not setup a password you will be taken to the phones 'Home' screen.
From the menu on the left, select 'Identity 1'. You will be shown the following screen:
1. To configure your phone, please enter your name in the 'Displayname' field. This value will be passed as your caller ID name to compatible phones and networks.
2. Enter the 'Account' username, this takes the form '<account>*<extension>' and is NOT the same username as you login to the VoiceHost control panel. You can find your 'Account' username in the extension section of your control panel along with the required extension password that must be entered in the 'Password' filed.
3. Enter 'sip.voicehost.co.uk' into the 'Registrar' field.
4. Enter '1571' into the 'Mailbox' field.
5. Select the 'SIP' tab, you will be shown the following screen:

6. Set the 'Proposed Expiry' value to 60, this will keep open ports on your router to all incoming calls.
7. Select the 'Login' tab and select the 'Save' button located at the bottom of the screen.
8. Select 'Re-register'
You phone should now be online, your display should now show a telephone icon if you have a Snom 320, 360 or 370. If you have a Snom 300, you should have your account number or name shown. If the registration was unsuccessful, you will have a 'NR' shown on your screen. If this is the case, please check that you have used the correct username and password for your account.
To test your telephone, try dialing '1234'. If all is working correctly, you should hear the VoiceHost welcome message.
