Trixbox Configuration

VoiceHost can be used as an inbound and outbound trunk to connect your Trixbox to the PSTN and VoIP networks. To add VoiceHost as a trunk on your trixbox, please follow the instructions below:

1.) Login to the Trixbox web interface and select 'Trunk'

2.) Select 'Add Trunk'

3.) Enter the following details:

General Settings:  
Outbound Caller ID: <your telephone number>
Maximum Channels: 10
   
Outgoing Settings:  
Trunk Name: VoiceHost
PEER Details:

host=sip.voicehost.co.uk
username= <Your Extension Username e.g 1XXXX*2XX>
secret= <Extension Password>
type=peer
disallow=all
allow=ulaw,alaw,gsm
context=from-trunk
insecure=port,invite

   
Incoming Settings:  
USER Context <Your Extension Username e.g 1XXXX*2XX>
USER Details: username=<Your Extension Username e.g 1XXXX*2XX>
secret=<Extension Password>
type=user
disallow=all
allow=ulaw,alaw,gsm
context=from-trunk
   
Registration:  
Register String: <Extension Username>:<Extension Password>@sip.voicehost.co.uk

4.) Once you have your Trunk configured make sure you set your extension to 'Trunk Mode' in the extension configuration screen from within the control panel. This setting allows the telephone number to be passes as a DID which you can use to route calls in the 'Incoming Routes' section of trixbox.
