X-Lite Configuration


The X-lite configuration is a quick and easy process. To setup your copy of X-lite please follow the instructions below.

1. Download and install the X-lite softphone from Counterpath.com or Click here

2. Load the application buy clicking the X-lite icon

3. If this is the first time you have loaded the softphone you will be shown the 'SIP Account' properties screen as below, if this is not your first time, select the down arrow and select the 'SIP Account Settings...' option:

4. Select the 'Add...' button which will show you the account properties window, as pictured below:

5. Enter the relevant username and password, that can be obtained from the VoiceHost control panel under the 'Extension Config' section. Alternatively, log-in and return to this page for the correct username and password for your account.

6. Select the Topology tab, which will show the following screen:

7. Select the 'Use local IP address' if you are on a network using a router.

8. You have now successfully setup your X-lite software. You can select the 'OK' button and test the software by calling 1234 where you will receive a VoiceHost welcome message.
