X-Lite Version 4 Configuration

The X-lite version 4 configuration is a quick and easy process. To setup your copy of X-lite please follow the instructions below.

1. ) Download and install the X-lite softphone:

     X-Lite 4 for Windows or Mac - Download

2. ) Load the application by clicking the X-lite 4 icon

3. ) If this is the first time you have loaded the softphone you will be shown the 'SIP Account' properties screen as below. However if this is not your first time, select the 'Softphone' menu and select 'Account Settings'.

4. ) Enter the relevant username and password, that can be obtained from the VoiceHost control panel under the 'Extension Config' section. Alternatively, log-in and return to this page for the correct username and password for your account.

5. ) Once you have entered the relevant information, select the advanced tab:

6. ) Change the 'Register every' entry to 60 seconds .

7. ) You have now successfully setup your X-lite software. You can select the 'OK' button and test the phone by calling 1234 where you will receive a VoiceHost welcome message.
