Call Parking

Call Parking

What is Call Parking?

Call parking is a feature of our cloud PBX that allows a user to put a caller on hold at one telephone and continue the conversation from any other telephone within their account.

Please note that the maximum park time is 15 minutes at which point the call returned to the original handset. If it is not answered, the call is then terminated.

How Call Parking works with VoiceHost:

An extension receives a call that the recipient wants to park:

Snom Phone Users:

  • The callee puts the caller on hold via the handset and dial 1900
  • The callee will then be read back the virtual extension number that the caller is parked on by the system (always starts 1901 and increments with a maximum of 98 parked calls per account)
  • The callee presses transfer on the phone to transfer the caller to the virtual extension.
  • Any phone on the account can then dial the virtual extension number (e.g 1901) and pick up the call.
Cisco SPA Phone Users:
  • The callee presses xfer and dials 1900
  • The callee will then be read back the virtual extension number that the caller is parked on by the system (always starts 1901 and increments with a maximum of 98 parked calls per account)
  • The callee presses xfer on the phone to transfer the caller to the virtual extension.
  • Any phone on the account can then dial the virtual extension number (e.g 1901) and pick up the call.
